Why Frank Lampard could become Chelsea permanent coach at the end of the season

Chelsea football club have endured a poor season in general, it is a season of up and down both in England domestic cup competitions, the league and in Europe too, they will end the season without a trophy and will not be qualifying for any European competition next season.

The new owners have spent big in assembling a good squad but have not realty had a coach to really fine tune the exciting squad, Thomas Tuchel tried and failed and likewise Graham Potter, currently club legend is at the helm of affairs untill the end of the season.

Chelsea owners are looking at a coach to help build the team on a long term, they have struggled to really get anyone yet meaning the position remains vacant for now with few games left before the season ends.

So far they have rejected the likes of Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, Vincent Kompany and discussion with Mauricio Pochettino seems to have hit a wall,the vacant managerial position could once again swing in the favour of Frank Lampard.

The former Chelsea player and coach could Ideally apply for the position and if he can get the team playing well between now and the end of the season, he could be in line to lead the blues into preseason preparations.

His first season as a Chelsea coach was productive and his ability to work with youngsters could be an added advantage, you never can tell, Chelsea owners could make the gamble with Frank Lampard once again.
