Manchester United sealed first pre-season victory with 2-1 win over Derby County

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer led Manchester United team were in action yesterday against Derby County in their first pre-season game at the Pride Park Stadium.

The Red Devils in the game were able to kickstart their journey ahead of the next season with a remarkable win.

The last season UEFA Europa League finalist were able to be in control of the game as they put up some physical, tactical and technical displays to outsmart the host.

Tahith Chong opened the scoring sheet for Manchester United in the 17th minutes to make it one nil which was the only goal that separated the two sides at half time.

In the second half of the game, the visitor were able to double their lead in the 59th minutes with a goal from Facundo Pellistri to make it two goals to nil.

After some fine displays, the host were able to put one back in the 70th minutes as Kazim Richards got on the score sheet for Derby County to make it two goals to one.

After several attempts from both sides to add more to the tally of the day, all proved abortive as it ended two goals to one at full time.

The win for the Red Devils is really a boost for them ahead of their next fixture as they will be hoping to keep their winning streaks going.
