Liverpool warned £100m ace will be 'amazing' signing but he can't replace Henderson

According to former Premier League defender Stephen Kelly speaking on the BBC Football Daily podcast, Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund would make an “amazing” addition to Liverpool’s team, but he should not be considered a replacement for Jordan Henderson at Anfield.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson, Liverpool's full-backs who were formerly a strong attacking force, have also suffered as a result of the recent decline in the midfield performance of the team.

This deterioration can be brought on by the loss of defensive cover players like Gini Wijnaldum, Fabinho, or Henderson.

The equilibrium of Klopp's entire system appears to have been upset as a result of Wijnaldum's departure and Henderson's and Fabinho's apparent decline in performance.

It's a terrific feeling to know that you're making a difference. But the fact that he keeps hurting himself indicates that he cannot do it on a regular basis. Hence, you must replace him, says Kelly, a former fullback for Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur.

That has been anticipated for some time. Fabinho hasn't been the same as the other guys there. Excellent (Stefan) Bajcetic. But is an 18-year-old someone you can trust?

Bellingham, who is estimated at £100 million, is Liverpool's top target for the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic. But, Kelly thinks that Klopp would still need another player with a more defensive mentality even if the England international joined the squad.

The Irishman continues, "Bellingham going there would be wonderful for them. "But, I don't believe you want him to take Henderson's place because you don't want him to handle the full-coverage. back's With the full-backs getting high and (the midfielders) protecting their areas, the middle of the field really demonstrates how Liverpool plays.

If you don't have such players available, it's really difficult. Liverpool must make a very difficult decision.

Joao Palhinha, a midfielder for Fulham, is apparently a target for Liverpool, according to the Daily Mail. Palhinha and Bellingham might form a new midfield combination, with one playing as a holding midfielder and the other moving forward, which could provide Klopp the foundation he needs to build on the ruins of the previous era of supremacy at Anfield.
