REPORTS: Arsenal 's prepared move for new forward is to solve goalscoring problems

Arsenal football club were undoubtedly one of the few busy Premier League clubs during the summer transfer window before it was shut last month.

The North London club are keen on achieving more success under the management of Mikel Arteta and have added the likes of Aaron Ramsdale, Nuno Tavares and Martin Odegaard to improve their squad.

However, that has not quite worked out as desired so far as the Gunners are currently occupying the 13th position on the Premier League table ahead of their match against Crystal Palace tonight.

Coupled with that, Arsenal have only scored five goals in the Premier League this season and will now aim to sign a new forward to solve their goalscoring problems when the transfer window opens.

And if reports are anything to go by, then Arsenal are keen on signing Real Madrid young striker Luka Jovic.

The 23-year-old Serbia International, who joined Real Madrid from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt in 2019 has been in and out of the first-team since he made the move.

The young striker was loaned out back to Eintracht Frankfurt during the 2020/2021 season where he made 18 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and recording one assist in total.

Luka Jovic is currently back with Real Madrid has found game time difficult to come by this season due to the availability of in-form striker Karim Benzema.

It is believed that Luka Jovic is disappointed at his lack of regular game time so far this season and he is now keen on a move away from Real Madrid.

And according to reports from Daily Mail, Arsenal are interested and are keen on making a move to bring him to the Emirates Stadium when the transfer window opens.

As stated earlier, the Gunners are hellbent on improving their attacking options and have now identified Luka Jovic as a needed addition to the squad.

That said, it remains to be seen if Arsenal will pay the transfer fee needed for Real Madrid to offload the young centre-forward when the window opens.
