The last four of the Uefa Champions league is made up of the likes of Man City, Chelsea, PSG, and Real Madrid. What this means is that at least three of the four clubs in the semi final has a player whose name is Mendy. There is Edouard Mendy at Chelsea, Ferland Mendy at Real Madrid and Benjamin Mendy at Man City.
There is therefore a whopping 75 per cent chance that a player named Mendy will be among the winning team at the end of the season. If Chelsea wins the title, their goalkeeper Edouard Mendy also takes home the prize, if Man City win, Benjamin Mendy will also win and Ferland Mendy will win if Real Madrid manage to win the top prize.
In fact, the only way that a player named "Mendy" will not win the Champions League this season is if the award is won by French champions Paris Saint German, who lack a player named Mendy in their squad for the Champions league this season.
