Pain is something people cannot see, and that is why it is hard for you to know if a footballer is in pain when he is on the pitch. Many footballers play through pain, they sacrifice their comfort for the game, and it is a beautiful thing.
Footballers usually earn less money playing for their clubs than their countries, but they enjoy the honor that comes with representing their national badges. Some of these players are not playing for their clubs because of their injuries but are playing for their countries.
1. Gareth Bale.
It is no longer news that Bale always puts Wales first, even though it's been about 2 months that he injured his knee and hasn't yet played for Los Blancos since then, he reported for international duty.
Even though he couldn't play the full match against Belarus, Bale featured for 45 minutes and helped his country beat them. It was also his 100th game for Wales.
2. Lionel Messi.
Messi also prioritizes Argentina over club football, he loves his country and that is why he turned up for international duties even though he is not playing for PSG at the moment.
When they faced Uruguay, the Argentine magician played for 15 minutes. His coach said that they just gave him a bit of time so that he can be fresh for the game against Brazil.
The thing with these players is that even though they are injured, their presence on the pitch alone is enough to make the opposition suffer.
