Onome Ebi teases her fans with stunning images as she celebrates her 40th birthday

Super Falcons captain Onome Ebi has released some jaw-dropping images in celebration of her 40th birthday. The defender who was born on the 8th of May 1983 took to her official Instagram page to share the beautiful photos to the admiration of fans. 

The veteran defender who started her football journey with Omidiran Babes in 2001, has enjoyed an industrious professional career that has spanned over 20 years of active service.

Onome was part of the Super Falcons team that defeated New Zealand in a friendly game in April. She has made over a hundred appearances for the Super Falcons.

The 40-year-old currently holds the record as the first African footballer to participate in five FIFA World Cup tournaments, a record she is about to surpass when the FIFA Women’s World Cup gets underway in July. Ebi has won the African Women's Championship titles on four occasions.

Her club career has seen her feature for teams in Belarus, Sweden, Turkey, China, and Spain. She currently plays for Levante Las Planas in the Spanish women’s league.
