Barcelona ended the 2020/2021 Spanish League season on a disappointing note, as they finished 3rd on the league table behind Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona's star player Lionel Messi may have missed out on winning another Spanish League, after Atletico Madrid won their second league title in 7 years, but he maintained his good goal scoring record in the league.

Lionel Messi created a world record today after he was confirmed as the highest goal scorer in the Spanish League, this win makes it the 8th time he will win this award known as the Pichichi award, and the eight times he has won this award is the most a player have won the highest goal scorer award in any league in the world, he also created a record of winning the highest goal scorer award for 5 consecutive times in La Liga.

Congratulations to Lionel Messi on another record, do you think Ronaldo or any other player is better than Lionel Messi, as he continues to create records? Make your opinions heard in the comments section below.
