Ramon Secures Europa League Ticket With Garanda, Omeruo, Awaziem Couldn't Keep Laganes In La Liga

Granada midfielder, Azeez Ramon, is delighted by his club's qualification for the UEFA Europa League, following Sunday's conclusion of the 2019-2020 La Liga season.

The Nigeria international on Monday uploaded the picture above on his Instagram page, which shows the team celebrating after rounding off the campaign with a resounding 4-0 trouncing of Athletic Bilbao at New Stadium Los Cármenes in Granada.

"Job done," stated the 27-year-old who achieved the feat in his first season with Granada, following his transfer from Lugo last summer. He started 14 of 25 matches for the team, with two goals in the bag.

Ramon's Nigeria team-mates, Chidozie Awaziem and Kenneth Omeruo couldn't save Leganes from relegation to Segunda Division after finishing third from bottom of the log.

Villarreal, and Real Sociedad finished in fifth and sixth positions respectively, and will represent the country in Europa League proper while Granada will take part in the qualifiers.

Champions Real Madrid Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla will play in Champions League while

Leganes, Mallorca and Espanyol are relegated to Segunda Division after finishing 18th, 19th and 20th on the log in that particular order.
