Mbappe needs to 'learn how to be humble' - Frederic Antonetti

Frederic Antonetti was not impressed by the behaviour of Kylian Mbappe in Wednesday's Ligue 1 clash.

The French man was told that he needs to add a dose of humility to his undoubted talents in front of goal "if he wants to be loved".

The suggestion comes from Metz coach Frederic Antonetti, who previously needed a stoppage-time winner to beat the bottom line 2-1 and maintain their 100% start of the domestic season.

Antonetti is answering questions about the yellow card handed over to his goalkeeper Alexander Okija, who confronted Mbappe while celebrating the goal.

When PSG later celebrated Hakimi's winner, Metz goalkeeper Alexander Okeeja rushed out of the players against Mauricio Pochettino, seemingly angry at the nature of their celebration.

Mbappe almost inadvertently pitched the ball to Okeeja in the 83rd minute, and then regained possession of the ball and Metz kicked the ball out of bounds due to injury. It appeared to be the main goal of the goalkeeper's protest, which continued after the final whistle.

PSG's current situation is not so easy, even if they have scored 20 goals in seven games, they have led Ligue 1 by 7 points. Last week they drew the first match of the UEFA Champions League this season to the Club Bruges, even though their trio of Mbappé, Neymar and Messi had all started.

Mbappe said something to the home team goalkeeper Oukidja, which obviously allowed him to chase the World Cup champion forward, but Neymar defended his teammates and pushed the 33-year-old shot plug to the ground.

Mauricio Pochettino is responsible for finding the right formula for star-studded clothing-especially in the last third. Mbappé, Neymar and Lionel Messi form part of these plans, but the French capital still has serious problems. The superstar trio failed to shine when they were named in the same XI, and Hakimi and Mauro Icardi and others had to inspire the club's last two games.
