The absent South American players include Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria, Keylor Navas, Neymar Junior and, Leandro Paredes.

Paris Saint-Germain has a very big squad depth, as such, Mauricio Pochettino will have other options to replace the absentees.

Here's how the starting XI could look like for tonight's game:

Mauricio Pochettino is likely to use the 4-3-3 formation with Gianluigi Donnarumma staying in the goal.

As for the central defensive spots, Kehrer should form a partnership with Presnel Kimpembe.

Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes should be in charge of protecting the goalie from the defensive flanks.

While in the international break, Wijnaldum complained about a lack of playing time. A chance to return to the starting XI presents itself tonight following the absence of Paredes.

The Dutchman should comprise the three-man PSG midfield alongside Marco Verratti and the in-form Idrissa Gueye.

As for the positions upfront, Kylian Mbappe is expected to occupy the left-wing-forward role with Icardi and the versatile Rafinha Alcantara playing as a center-forward and a right-winger respectively.

Following the defeat last time out in the league, Paris Saint-Germain is desperate to return to winning ways. As such, they'll be going all out to earn maximum points in this game.

The league leaders are unbeaten in their last 21 league games against Angers (W14 D7), their longest run without defeat against a single top-flight opponent. They have not lost against Angers since 1975.
