Many have wondered what could have happened. It was most unusual moreso when three goals were scored by Chelsea's players in the encounter.

Eric Dier of Tottenham Hotspur got the assignment for the hatchet job and he did an excellent job in marking Lukaku out of the game. In the first 45 minutes of the match, Lukaku fired no single shot!
For most part of the match, he was fuming with frustration written all over his face. It was apparent Eric Dier had been instructed not to give Lukaku any breathing space and he did just that as Lukaku didn't see a whole lot of the ball in the match.
With just 34 touches in 90 minutes, some fans and pundits were of the opinion that Lukaku was deliberately not serviced by his Chelsea's mates. But, how can you feed a player that was heavily marked with the ball?
With goals coming from Ngolo Kante, Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva, it was evident that the scorers rose up to the challenge of Lukaku's dilemma in the hands of Eric Dier.
