3 Things That Could Happen To Manchester United As Club Football Resumes

Manchester United has not lived up to the expectations this season, as they currently sit on 6th position in the Premier League table after eleven games played.

They fell to a devastated derby defeat to Manchester City before the international break, to add more problems to their already bad form in the league.

The form of the Manchester United team has made the fans and many pundits to call for a managerial change at the club, as they seem to be tired of the lack of effectiveness of the tactics of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but the Manchester United board has continued to back the 48 years old Norwegian, and he still remains in charge of the Manchester United team.

Manchester United would aim to improve their form, after the final international break of 2021 has been completed.

In this article, we will be looking at the three things that could happen to Manchester United, as club football resumes after the international break.

1. Put Together A Couple Of Good Results

Manchester United's needs a run of good form to return back to the top four and also get back in the race for the Premier League title this season.

They seem to be well off the race for the Premier League title already, as they are currently nine points behind table toppers Chelsea so far, but a run of some good results could get them back in the race.

United's next six league fixtures would be against Watford, Chelsea, Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Norwich and Brentford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would aim to have a good run of form after the international break, to help Manchester United get back to top four position.

2. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Could Be Sacked

Without a good run of form in the coming few games, the future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be reconsidered by the club boards, which could result to his sack.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seem to be living on a borrowed time at the club.

3. Champions League Round Of 16 Qualification

Manchester United would play Villarreal in their next champions league game, and they would hope to get a win over the Spanish club, so as to help in reaching the round of 16 stage of the tournament.

Both Villarreal and Manchester are on seven points from four games played in the competion so far, and a win for Manchester United would do them good in the race to qualify.

Which of these three things is more likely to happen to Manchester United when club football resumes?
