CAF Confed: Enyimba Played Like Primary School Pupils Against Pyramids-Dosu

Ex Nigeria goalkeeper, Dosu Joseph, has slammed Enyimba for their pedestrian performance in Sunday's 4-1 bashing by Pyramids FC, in a CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final first leg.

The football administrator who kept goal for Nigeria during their triumphant campaign at 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, said the People's Elephant played like primary school pupils, blaming their woeful loss at 30 June Air Defence Stadium in Cairo on defensive blunders.

"How can a team from the best League in Africa (Nigeria) according to them, play like primary school pupils.......All the goals are defensive blunders by Enyimba players.....E choke oh," tweeted the former Julius Berger keeper who is one of several Nigerian football stakeholders to condemned the two-time African champions' another sloppy display on the road.

Enyimba stirred the hornet's nest, with Victor Mbaoma capitalising on a defensive blunder to put the visitors in front in the first minute. Ramadan Sobhi restored parity for the home team on 15 minutes after robbing an Enyimba defender of the ball. Abdalla El Said put scored on 49minutes to the hosts 2 - 1 up while Ibrahim Adel completed the rout with a brace on 58 and 67 minutes.

The result leaves Enyimba's hopes of advancing to the semi-finals hanging by the tread as they will need to score three un-replied goals during the second leg at Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on May 23.
