Can Manchester United target record fourth successive win at Chelsea?

28th February 2021

Kick off time: 5:30pm GMT+1

Team news

Boss Thomas Tuchel has reported Thiago Silva (muscle) is the only absentee for the match with Manchester United.

The Brazilian has not featured for the Blues since the win at Tottenham on February 4th due to a thigh injury.

Tuchel confirmed Thiago Silva is expected to return to full training next week and has no other injury concerns ahead of the Stamford Bridge meeting with Manchester United.

Both Juan Mata and Paul Pogba are ruled out for this Sunday's clash at Stamford Bridge.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping Scott McTominay, Edinson Cavani and Donny van de Beek can return for Manchester United but they will have to be assessed before a decision is made.

Did you know?

Since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel, the Blues have kept a clean sheet in each of their three Premier League home matches, with the Blues last keeping four in a row in January 2018.

All four of Mason Mount's league goals this season have come away from Stamford Bridge. The midfielder has scored two goals in his last three premier league matches, as many as in his previous 21 in the league.

Manchester United have beaten Chelsea in their last three away matches, winning in the FA Cup, both legs of the League Cup in February and October 2019 respectively, and Premier League back in February 2020. They've never won four in a row at the Bridge.

With 5 goals and 2 assists, Marcus Rashford has been involved in seven goals in all competitions against Chelsea. Against no side has he been involved in more in his career.

United are unbeaten in nineteen Premier League away games, a run that began with a 2-0 win at Chelsea back in February 2020. This is the Red Devils' longest unbeaten away run in their top-flight history in the competition.
