Four Chelsea Players That Could Miss Their Next Game Against Brentford

Chelsea will return to Premier League action on Saturday 16 of October, taking a trip to the Premier League new boys Brentford, hoping to continue their good form.

The Thomas Tuchel side currently sit at the top of the Premier League table, after seven games played, and would need a fully fit squad to take on their next opponent.

But the Chelsea boss might be having some injury concern for the team already, with some players likely to miss the game against Brentford.

In this article, we will be looking at the four Chelsea Player, who could miss the Premier League fixture against Brentford.

1. Thiago Silva

The Chelsea veteran defender was allowed to link up with the Brazilian national team for international duty, having been prevented by the club to participate in the previous international games, to avoid being ban by FIFA.

Brazil will play against Venezuela, Colombia, and Uruguay, which would not allow Thiago Silva return back to the club until the morning of Chelsea's game against Brentford.

Thomas Tuchel confirmed that Silva is ruled out automatically from the game against Brentford. He will also need to quarantine for some days after his return back to the club, due to covid-19 rules in England.

2. Christian Pulisic

The Chelsea winger injured his ankle in the last international game week with USA, and has been trying to recover from the injury.

The 23 years old has not returned back to training for the club, and might miss out on the game against Brentford.

3. Romelu Lukaku

The Chelsea record forward signing has been an important player for them this season, scoring 4 goals in 9 appearances across all competition this season.

The Belgium coach confirmed that Romelu Lukaku was withdrawn from the Belgium squad to play the Nation's league third placed game against Italy, due to fatigued muscles.

He further stated that the length of which Romelu Lukaku will need to get back to full fitness is unknown to him.

Although, it doesn't look like a very serious injury, but the Chelsea fans would hope he is not dropped by Thomas Tuchel in their next game against Brentford.

4. Antonio Rudiger

Rudiger has started all Premier League games for Chelsea this season, and played for Germany in their 2–1 win over Romania.

The Germany Coach, Hansi Flick has confirmed that Antonio Rudiger has been dropped from the Germany squad that is preparing to take-on Northern Macedonia, due to a back injury he complained about.

Thomas Tuchel would hope the injury is not a severe one on his main man, and will hope that he is fit enough to feature against Brentford.

Reece James and Ngolo Kante are also major doubt, but could be fit before the game against Brentford.
