Mikel Obi Meets With Governor Lalong As He Plans To Open A Football Academy In Plateau State

Former Super Eagles Captain, Mikel Obi is set to open a Football Academy in Jos, Plateau state capital. He deemed it fit to give back to society after making so much approach in his football career.

Mike Obi met with the Governor of Plateau State, Rt Honourable Simon Lalong in the Government House of Jos. His meeting with the governor culminated in the idea of opening a football academy in Plateau state.

Obi noted that he aims to help alleviate poverty in the state by opening an opportunity for those who are talented in the football field. With the establishment of an academy in Jos, it will become easier for young people who have dreams of becoming football stars to achieve their dreams.

As part of giving back to society and also harnessing more talents for the country and uplifting the people from Poverty, the Netherlands 2005 WYC, 2nd best player make such a magnanimous decision.
