Why Pochettino Was Smart To Name Colwill And Mudryk As Players He Wants To Build His Team Around

Chelsea is on the verge of finalizing their agreement with Mauricio Pochettino over the Managerial role of the West London club. The Argentina National is expected to sign a contract to be Chelsea's Manager before the end of this season and he'll take over the pre-season of the West London club.

Mauricio Pochettino has already made his interest known to work with Players that are premier league proven, which is why the Argentina National wants Chelsea to sign Declan Rice, Alexis Mac Allister and Emi Martinez, according to Mail Sport.

Prior to the reports that Mauricio Pochettino wants Chelsea to sign Premier League proven Players, the Former PSG Manager has already expressed his interest to make some of Chelsea's youngsters the core member of his team. Mauricio Pochettino was reportedly specific about working with Levi Colwill and Mykhaylo Mudryk at Chelsea next season, and there's a great reason for that.

Both Mykhaylo Mudryk and Levi Colwill hasn't made any real impact at Chelsea this season. Mykhaylo Mudryk was signed in January and he's yet to become a regular starter in the team while Levi Colwill is currently on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion. These are the Players that Mauricio Pochettino wants to turn to key Players next season.

One attribute that Levi Colwill possesses that will make a lot of Wingers in front of him to thrive is his over the top passings. The England International is adept to hauling long balls and they are usually accurate. He literally has no business passing to his nearest teammates or Midfielders because he would rather launch the ball into the opposition areas for the Attackers to make a run.

More importantly, Levi Colwill has the swagger of Liverpool Defender Virgil Van Dijk. He's going to be able to find runners like Mykhaylo Mudryk or Noni Madueke in the front.
