South African U-17 winger, Michael Dokunmu, who is of Nigerian descent, has revealed that he cannot speak Yoruba, a language spoken in Nigeria. Francis Achi, a member of the media team for the Nigerian U-17 National team, made this known during a brief chat with Dokunmu. However, Dokunmu mentioned that his father speaks the language fluently.

Despite not being able to speak Yoruba, Dokunmu has caught the attention of football fans with his impressive performance at the ongoing U-17 African Cup Of Nations tournament. He scored a stunning goal against Zambia in the group stage, and South Africa has progressed to the quarter-final stage as one of the best losers.
Dokunmu, who plays for Vitesse in the Netherlands, is one of the many exciting South African U-17 players to watch out for in the tournament.
