FA Cup clash: Chelsea will defeat Manchester United and qualify for the final for these reasons

Chelsea's next fixture is a clash against Manchester United at the Wembley stadium, for a possible place in the final of the FA Cup.

The rivalry between these two sides are enormous, and fans from either sides would love to see their team get past their opponent on Sunday.

The Blues head into Sunday's clash against Manchester United coming from a 1-0 win over already relegated Norwich side, while Manchester United must play Crystal Palace before they take to Wembley.

There are few indications which suggest that the Blues will see off Manchester United on Sunday, and book a final ticket against the eventual winners between Manchester City and Arsenal.

And they are:

1. Chelsea have more time for preparations:

Chelsea have more days and better time for their preparations ahead of Manchester United fixture.

Since Chelsea's win over Norwich city on Tuesday, the Blues have four days to get prepared, and get their tactics right ahead of Sunday's clash.

Manchester United on the other hand, have just two days to get fit for Chelsea match up. The Red devils have a game in hand against Crystal Palace on Thursday, and they are expected to field a strong lineup with Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial expected to start on Thursday.

Now the question is; Can Manchester United get their players to full fitness to face Chelsea in two days?

2. All the stats and history are in favour of Chelsea:

History have a way of playing its part in football. There is a rich history which proves that Chelsea will be victorious against Manchester United, and perhaps win this season's FA Cup trophy.

Here is the history:

Chelsea have always won the FA Cup trophy, whenever they face Leicester city at any stage of the competition.

Back in 1997, Chelsea faced Leicester city at the fifth round, and they ended up winning the FA Cup title that year.

In 2000, both Chelsea and Leicester city faced off, with the Blues stunning the Foxes, and emerged winner of the FA Cup in the same year.

In 2012 and 2018, both teams pair up against each other at the quarter final stage. The Blues yet again stunned the Foxes on both occasions, and they won the FA Cup in both years.

Guess what? Both sides have also met in this season's FA Cup, with Chelsea recording a 1-0 win at the quarter final stage. And should history continue this year, the Blues will surely see off Manchester United.

Whenever Chelsea faced Leicester city and defeat the Foxes, the Blues have always go on to win the FA Cup trophy.

Is this just a mere coincidence? Only time will tell!

3. Chelsea will come for revenge:

Manchester United have defeated Chelsea on three different occasions in this current campaign.

The Red devils recorded an emphatic 4-0 victory over Chelsea in Frank Lampard's first game as manager of Chelsea. Before going on to record a 2-1 win in the Carabao cup.

A third win for Manchester United over Chelsea was recorded back in February, courtesy of a 2-0 win, with Harry Maguire headed goal capping off a brilliant performance for the Red devils.

Chelsea have an opportunity to put a win past Manchester United for the first time this season. It's a game that Chelsea will go all out and seek for revenge, and maybe emerged FA Cup winners this season.
