NPFL TRANSFER: Abia Warriors Set To Re-sign Former Striker

It has been a busy week in the Nigeria Professional league transfer market as clubsides are busy recruiting capable and experienced players in a bid to be a force to reckon with come the new NPFL season.

One of the Nigeria Professional league side, Abia Warriors of Umuahia, has been outstanding so far in the Nigeria Professional league transfer market as the club are breaking the bank to land vastly experienced players after capturing, Coach Imama Amapakabo, in view of the new season.

The Umuahia warlords in a space of two days announced the done deals of two quality goalkeepers, Vincent Edafe and Olorunleke Ojo, who joined from Dakkada FC and Sunshine stars respectively.

The Umuahia based outfit is highly speculated to have completed plans to resign its former striker, Sunday Adetunji, who currently is the club all time highest goalscorer in a season, 14goals, with just a goal to break the long time record of Chisom Chikatara.

The former 3sc sensational striker was a handful for the Umuahia based side in its first season with the Nigeria Professional league traditional side, Adetunji blossomed into reckoning with the Abia Warriors team, the fame which latter had him play for Enyimba FC and Lobi stars respectively.

A source close to the striker, Sunday Adetunji, confirmed that the lanky striker might be announced as a player of Abia Warriors next week if things goes as planned as the both parties haven agreed terms.

Adetunji possible rejoining Abia Warriors speaks volume of how prepared the Umuahia warlords are to match their words with action as the club Chairman, Pastor Emeka Inyama, restated his desire to have the club be amongst strong title contenders in the new season.
