Some players tend to lose their temper easily especially in games with high pressure. But there are some players who have played throughout their career without receiving a red card for once. Let us look at five footballers who have put up their behaviors during their careers.
1. Gary Lineker:
He was not only a great footballer, but he also avoided the red card throughout his career. During his 16 year career, he scored 281 goals in 567 matches. The legend who represented Tottenham, Leicester and Barcelona was able to finish his career without receiving a single red card.
2. Raul Gonzalez:
Raul Gonzalez is fondly called the 'prince of Spanish football'. He is one of the few footballers who never received a red card throughout their football career. Raul scored 404 goals in 940 club games. He also scored 44 goals for the Spanish national team. He won the Champions League title three times, and won the La Liga trophy six times, alongside other trophies. But he has never gotten a red card in his career.
3. Philip Lahm:
Considered as one of the best defenders in his generation, the German has never received a red card throughout his career. He was the captain of the team that won the World Cup in 2014. He was the captain of the Bayern Munich team that won the Champions League in the 2012/2013 season as part of the treble. He also won 8 Bundesliga titles. Even as a formidable defender, he has never been awarded a red card despite all his career tackles.
4. Andres Iniesta:
Iniesta is a player who has won many trophies both at club and international levels. The legendary midfielder has been one of the most decorated footballers in football history. Despite all his achievements, he has never received a red card. His calm personality as the team's central midfielder was what made him avoid the red card.
5. Michel Palatini:
Regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, he has won the Ballon D'or thrice. The former UEFA president played 652 games for both club and country without a red card.
