It was a hard nutcracker for Chelsea football club on their weekend visit to Brentford football club stadium, as Chelsea narrowly escaped with three points in a 1-0 scoreline courtesy of a goal from Ben Chilwell's brilliant strike.
However, there were some Chelsea's players that made more positive contributions and impacts on the game against Brentford than others. These players were the pillar on which Chelsea emerged winners of the match against Brentford yesterday's evening. With these players being fit till the end of the 2021/2022 premier league season, Chelsea will remain the favorite to lift the premier league trophy.
These players include:
1. Eduardo Mendy: The Senegalese and Chelsea's goalkeeper, Mendy made many brilliant saves for Chelsea football club and denied Brentford, their hopes of equalizing Chelsea's goal. Mendy staying in between the goal post for Chelsea in every match will always attract cleansheets for Mendy and winning for Chelsea football club, as Mendy has always shown that he hates conceding a goal.
2. Mateo Kovacic: There was a big change in the midfield position when Kovacic was substituted. Kovacic's substitution contributed to a lot of harm to Chelsea's tactics and momentum as Brentford's players gained more access to pressurize Chelsea. This means that Chelsea will have to ensure that Kovacic stays fit at all times for their premier league trophy adventure.
3. N'golo Kante: Kante has always been the best midfielder of his time for both club and country. His strength, decisive passes and dribbles are second to none. However Kante's fitness will be a great access for Chelsea's hope of lifting the premier league trophy.
Tuchel should be very mindful of these players and should avoid overworking them during training sessions, in order to prevent them (Mendy, Kovacic and Kante), from sustaining injuries.
