Nigeria predicted starting 11 vs Cape Verde

Gernot Rohr's side have already looked absolutely brilliant and hopeless at times in the past.

Who knows which version of Super Eagles we'll get on Tuesday at Mindelo, but they'll need to be at their best to stop Cape Verde's talented crop of forwards.

Here's how Ademetan Abayomi thinks Rohr's side will line up against the Blue Sharks after the duo of Samuel Kalu and Tyrone Ebuehi tested positive for Covid-19

Maduka Okoye - Kept a clean sheet in Lagos and should do the same on Tuesday.

Ola Aina - Started against Liberia and should likely to retain his place in the backline.

Kenneth Omeruo - Hasn't ever let his team down yet but Cape Verde's frontline will know he's there to be got at.

Chidozie Awaziem - He will definitely pair Omeruo. They were both effective during their time together at Leganes.

Jamilu Collins - You don't change a winning team. Sorry Zaidu Sanusi!

Shehu Abdullahi - His performance against Liberia was good and he'll be key to his side's chances on Tuesday.

Innocent Bonke - Makes controlling games look effortless and his battle against the Cape Verde midfield will be crucial to deciding who wins the contest.

Kingsley Michael - Might not be quite as classy as his midfield partners but he does plenty of the dirty work that allows Bonke to play with more freedom.

Moses Simon - Simon's performance against Lone Stars may have been brilliant but he can do better. If he can bomb down the left and bamboozle Cape Verde right-back then the Blue Sharks could be in trouble.

Victor Osimhen - He didn't produce anywhere near the level of performance we know he's capable of in the last match but if Nigeria are going to beat Cape Verde they need more from this man.

Henry Onyekuru - The player drifts across the frontline and picks up pockets of space where defenders don't know whether to mark him or pass him on to a teammate. Rohr will know he's the man for the big occasion
