Mikel Arteta adds two Nigerian players to Arsenal's first team ahead of Norwich clash

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has added two new players of Nigerian descent to his first team ahead of their English Premier League clash against Norwich City.

Arteta added James Olayinka and Tim Akinola into Arsenal's first team as they look to launch a comeback after a poor start.

Both players are academy products who Arteta found worthy to fight with the squad.

Olayinka, a central midfielder, spent last season on loan at Southend, who were then in League Two.

Akinola, joined the club last year after coming through the youth ranks at Huddersfield Town, is also a midfield option.

Arsenal experienced their worst start to the Premier League season in the history of the club after losing all three opening matches and failing to score.

Arsenal sits at the bottom of the EPL table and Arteta is under pressure now to turn things around or face the exit door as early as October.

A win against Norwich City this weekend will definitely calm nerves and Arteta has made a move to see that materialise.
