UEFA have announced the winner of the Man of the match award after Chelsea football club defeated Borussia Dortmund, 2-0 in the round of 16 to book their place in the quarter final of the UEFA Champions league. Surprisingly, the winner of the award is neither the two goalscorers: Raheem Sterling nor Kai Havertz.
According to Bleacher Report, the winner of the official award is non other than Spanish left full back, Marc Cucurella.
The Chelsea football club star was thrown into the team's starting eleven after he was benched for the last 3 games. He repaid Graham Potter's confidence by giving out an excellent performance.
Marc Cucurella dominated the left flank with his brilliant movement. He made 2 successful tackles and ran 10.3 kilometers during the game. He made 9 ball recoveries in the match. He was also brilliant during aerial duels as he won all his duels. He misplaced only 1 pass for the entire duration.
