EPL Top scorers and Assist-makers Table As Ronaldo Scored And Lukaku Failed To Score in Matchday 5

Matchday 5 matches in the English Premier League ended on Sunday and there were many dramatic matches across the league. However, amid the drama, some players were still able to put in good performances and added to their goals and/or assist outputs in the process.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who was on two Premier League goals going into the weekend, scored Manchester United's first against West Ham United to take his tally to 3 Premier League goals for the season. Elsewhere, Chelsea won emphatically against Tottenham Hotspur by 3 goals to nil but Romelu Lukaku was unable to get his name on the score sheet.

Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah added to their tallies, taking their numbers to 3 and 4 goals respectively. Mohamed Salah's four goals make him joint-top of the top scorers ranking. He is tied with Michail Antonio of West Ham United and Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United. Ismaila Sarr of Watford and Said Benrahma also put in good shifts for their respective teams by scoring a brace and a goal respectively. The brace took Sarr's tally for the season to 3 and joint fourth in the League's scorers ranking. He is tied with Cristiano Ronaldo, Neal Maupay of Brighton, Said Benrahma of West Ham, and others.

In the Assist-makers chart, Paul Pogba couldn't add to his seven assists for the season but helped Manchester United get a 2-1 win against the Hammers. Mateo Kovacic put in another impressive performance as he provided the assist for N'Golo Kante's goal against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. This took his assist tally to 3 for the season. He is now joint-second with the likes of Abdoulaye Doucoure of Everton, Michail Antonio of West Ham, and Gabriel Jesus of Manchester City.
