Manchester United Succeeds Manchester City To Sign Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Seria A side, Juventus and captains Portugal national team.

He is a very skillful dribbler and prolific goal scorer. He has won 32 major trophies in his football career, including seven league titles, five UEFA Champions leagues, one UEFA European Championship and one UEFA Nations League.

Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United to join Real Madrid in a 2009, a club were he won most of his European trophies and awards.

After spending 9 years in Los Blancos, Cristiano Ronaldo signed a four years contract with Juventus and moved to Seria A League.

However, Manchester City succeeded in establishing transfer communications with the Bianconeri over Cristiano Ronaldo but was unsuccessful in bringing him to the Etihad Stadium.

After Manchester City pulled out of the intending deal of bringing Cristiano Ronaldo to the Etihad, Manchester United quickly closed in on the deal and signed the Seria A superstar on a 2 years contract worth £24million on August 27, 2021.
