Pictures of A Sandy Pitch For A Nigerian League Game Emerges

The beauty of organised and professional football is a good pitch, which is a bedrock of good football. But when a pitch is not fit for football and it is approved for an organised football league, it leaves much to be desired

On Wednesday, pictures emerged from Delta State about the pitch where Delta Force will play against Giant Brillars in an NNL game. The venue is the Umukoro Community Development High School, Ogwashi Uku. The pitch has sand in some parts and overgrown grasses in some parts

Delta Force hope to be in the NPFL next season. It is worthy of note that there are stadiums in Delta which can be used as the home team of Delta Force but they are allowed to play in this kind of pitch

It is yet unknown why they are not playing at the Ozoro Polytechnic Stadium where Warri Wolves play their games or the Stephen Keshi stadium where the Super Eagles once played their game

It could be that the club do not want to leave Ogwashi Uku where they have a large fan base or that they are denied access to these facilities which are better than the one they use now.
