Nigeria is often regarded as the giant of Africa. This was shown again as an Airport in Nigeria has just been named the best in Africa by the Airports Council international. The Airport which is located at Abuja was named after Nigeria Political Activist and leader Late Nnamdi Azikiwe.
The recognition was given to the Airport along with an Airport in Kenya as the best in size and customer relations. The Airport is able to accommodate five to 15 million People every year.
Speaking after giving the award, ACI World's Director Luis Felipe said " During this most difficult and challenging of years, your customers have spoken and recognised the successful efforts of your team in providing a superior customer experience under trying circumstances."
While also celebrating the Award, The Federal Airport Authority in Nigeria through the General manager of cooperate Affairs Herrietta Yakubu released a statement after receiving the Award. "The recognition comes at a time when we are geared towards ensuring seamless airport facilitation with the opening of new terminals and upgrading of our current infrastructures across board"
