It is alleged that Machester United Goalkeeper, David de Gea has made it clear to Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and his coaches that he can further increase his clean sheet ratio if Manchester United become sharper and quicker when defending the ball in their own half.
Manchester United are dull with their defense and this has led them to be conceding unnecessary goals in their matches. Also their defense is always leaking in every single game and this has caused problems at times for the Goalkeeper, because a bad defense affects the Goalie.
When talking of a fast defense, Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bisakka comes to mind. Shaw and Wan-Bisakka have been one of the best full-back partnership in the English Premier league in recent times and they have even helped De Gea in keeping clean sheets in vital matches throughout the past 3 years. This is because they are good both in offense and defense, plus they overlap properly and still find time to track back and cover their Goalkeeper. If they combine well again this season, then De Gea can increase his clean sheet rate for sure.
