Nigerian Striker Sets New Record, Becomes First African To Win The Women's Champions League

One of the greatest joy of being a Nigerian is to hear that Nigerians outside the shores of the country are doing well and are setting new records each and every day.

Nigerian female super star who plays for FC Barcelona of Spain has made Nigeria proud again as she becomes the first female African player to win the women's champions league trophy.

Asisat Oshoala's Barcelona side defeated Chelsea FC women 4 goals to nil to lift the coveted trophy. Though she started the match from the substitute bench, she came on in the 71st minute to replace Jennifer Hermoso.

Asisat would go on to have her goal ruled out by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in the 90th minute.

Asisat played 3 matches for Barcelona in the just concluded Women Champions league and scored one goal in the process. Congratulations to Asisat and congratulations to Nigeria.
