The 2021/2022 Premier League kicked off in August and since then has been full of dramas and fascinating. A lot of goals has been scored so far this season due to the quality of attackers in the league that has kept goalkeepers working round the clock.
Goalkeepers do a lot of work on the pitch but often don't get the credit as strikers always steal the spotlights. Players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Mo Salah are getting all the attention this season because of their goals while nobody talks about the goalkeepers. This season, Ederson Morales, Edouard Mendy, Hugo Lloris and Ederson Morales who has also impressed with three clean sheets under their belt but only two goalkeepers have been able to save a Penalty this season.

Here are the only two goalkeepers that have saved a Penalty this season.
1. David De Gea:
Manchester United number one goalkeeper has not been impressive in the Penalty role and has conceded over 40 in the last seven seasons. David De Gea was mocked and heavily criticized after he failed to save a single in the Europa League penalty shootouts in May. David De Gea faced 11 penalties without making a single save and has been conceding penalties in the last six years.
The Spanish goalkeeper finally broke the jinx after he saved Noble's 95th-minute penalty to give Manchester United the win over the weekend. David De Gea read Noble's mind and dived the right direction to deny West Ham United a point from the game.
2. Freddie Woodman:
Freddie Woodman has had a dramatic and solid start to the Premier League as he is among the only two goalkeepers that have saved a penalty this season. Dramatically Freddie Woodman was on the verge of joining Bournemouth on loan this summer before he made his Premier League debut against West Ham United in August.
With first-choice goalkeeper, Martin Dubravka injured and Karl Darlow suffering from COVID-19, Newcastle United has no choice but to throw Freddie Woodman into the Premier League game against West Ham United. He played in the Premier League for the first time in his career against West Ham and saved Michail Antonio penalty.
Unfortunately despite his penalty save, his team still lost 4-258 West Ham United.
