England and Manchester United attacker, Marcus Rashford received his honorary doctorate from the University of Manchester on Thursday at a ceremony which took place at Old Trafford.
You will recall that the award announcement was made in July 2020, but due to the pandemic, the ceremony and celebration was postponed until now.
The 23-year-old footballer is the youngest recipient of an honorary degree in the history of The University of Manchester having won the prestigious award because of his ongoing charity work and well publicised Campaign child poverty off the pitch.
Marcus Rashford joins Manchester United legends who have been honored by the University in the past, the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Bobby Charlton.
Marcus Rashford Family and Friends were in attendance to see Rashford receive his award from the University of Manchester President and Vice Chancellor, Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell.
