After Liverpool's 2-1 loss to Arsenal, Jurgen Klopp's side can't break Man City's 100-point record this season. It remains just two matches to go so even if they win them, they will have 99 points. Just one point close to 100!
All the same, they are still the current league champion. They won the league after Man City lost to Chelsea. This was after the lock down. At least, Man City still have something to be proud of. Their record wasn't broken!

Man City did this two seasons ago. In the match against Arsenal, Sadio Mane gave the opener but Arsenal never relented. Arsenal goals came through utilising Liverpool's defensive errors and that was the end of Liverpool's record breaking season. These errors came from two reliable Liverpool players, Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson. With the help from Lacazette and 20-year old Reiss Nelson who converted the errors in their favour, Arsenal won the match. Maybe they will do it next season, no one knows!
Liverpool will be given the trophy after their match against Chelsea on the 22nd of July, 2020.
