UK's Prime Minister, Johnson announces date which football fans would be allowed back into stadiums

United Kingdom's prime minister, Boris Johnson announced that from October, soccer fans in the United Kingdom should be permitted to return to the sports stadiums in order to boost the upcoming English Premier League season.

Boris Johnson made this known on Friday, July 17, in the last easing of the lockdown in the United Kingdom. 

As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Football lovers, fans and enthusiast were restricted from entering the stadiums. With a view of having fans back in stadiums as soon as possible, Boris disclosed that fans might be allowed to return early in the 2020-21 season, while experimental tests will begin in August.

“With a wider opening in view, large gathering like that of sports Stadia would be piloted from August 1st, we will also resume the internal performance to a live audience. All these would be subject to the success of the pilots carried out.

“From October, subject to the successful outcome of pilots, we intend to bring the fans back to the stadium. Again, these changes must be carried out in adherence to safety rules and guildlines.” Boris Johnson stated.
