With Momentum Building For Solskjaer's Sack, Here Are Two Coaches Who Could Be Called To Replace Him

After a humiliating day at Old Trafford against Leicester last two weeks, United fans were once again calling for the sack of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who still seemed to have the backing of the United board as Manchester United prepared for their next big challenge with a match against Liverpool, on the 23rd of October.

However, the match against Liverpool was more humiliating than the previous as Liverpool grounded them 5-0 in front of their fans in the thousands. The game was United's 5th biggest loss in the competition's history.

The expected outcome of this result was a sack which was and is still being clamoured for -by fans and pundits around the globe. Reports claim even the players have lost faith in the Former United hero and momentum for a sack is building up before United's next game.

According to Fabrizio Romano, 'internal' talks have begun concerning the crisis and there is a decision to be made by the board on sacking Solskjaer before their next match against Tottenham. With that Here Are Two Managers Who Could be Called To Replace Him.

1. Antonio Conte: Former Chelsea and Inter Milan Coach Antonio Conte have not been officially contacted, but reports state he is open to talks for a takeover at Old Trafford. Conte won the EPL title with Chelsea in his first season and the FA cup in his second.

However, he failed to finish in place for Champions League qualification and was sacked the following season with Maurizio Sarri taking over. He went to Inter Milan and led them to the Serie A title last season before being sacked. He could bring with him those title-winning attributes which Man United are in dire need of right now.

2. Zinedine Zidane

Apart from being an extraordinary player in his youth, Zidane has characterised his coaching career with his Champions League exploits with Ronaldo's-Real Madrid and him coming over to Man United should the board eventually sack Ole, would be an uplift as his reunion with Varane and Ronaldo could be the spark United needs to bring in that team performance that is highly required of such a squad.
