World Wrestling Entertainment held their latest Pay-Per-View when Extreme Rules was broadcasted on Sunday night with series of interesting matches taking place.
Several WWE championship belts were scheduled to be defended in the special event tagged The Horror Show with Sesugh Uhaa popularly known as Apollo Crews expected to face MVP for the United States title.
However, Lashley and MVP went to the ring during the pay-per-view to slug it out with Apollo Crews but the Nigerian couldn't participate in the event.
The situation led to the reason why MVP declared himself as the new United States champion by forfeit but it was never announced by WWE, but MVP left with the new United States Title belt around his waist, removing it from the ringside podium that was used to display it.
It was later announced that Apollo Crews was present at the WWE Performance Center on Sunday and was eager to compete, but did not pass his pre-match fitness examination and was not permitted to participate.
A champion is only expected to lose the title by pinfall or submission and Apollo Crews is still having that Champion advantage but MVP won him at Extreme Rules due to his non-involvement.
Meanwhile, the WWE United States Champion Apollo Crews didn't keep quiet as he took to Twitter to express his reservations but also give a stern warning to MVP and Bobby Lashley.
"MVP is trippin thinking he can claim himself the United States Champion. I was looking forward to shutting you BOTH up once and for all tonight at Extreme Rules but once I’m cleared"
Recall that the Benue State muscular figure suffered a back injury back injury few weeks ago due to the Full Nelson attack from Bobby Lashley on the June 29 RAW episode.
