According to various media reports, they're expected to return to the squad when the league restarts in a week.
With these players returning to the squad, it's going to be very interesting to see how Pep Guardiola will line up.
In this article, we'll be looking at Pep's potential lineup ahead of the league restart. Let's have a look:
Pep Guardiola isn't likely to revert from the 4-3-3 formation after the international break.
Ederson Moraes is undoubtedly the club's number 1 choice. As such, he's expected to keep his place between the sticks.
Though Aymeric Laporte has been quite impressive since his return to the starting XI, he's likely to get benched by John Stones when the latter returns.
The Englishman is expected to form a central defensive partnership with Ruben Dias. You'll recall that this defensive partnership was undoubtedly the best across Europe's top 5 leagues last season.
Oleksandr Zinchenko isn't expected to bench Joao Cancelo. The Portuguese star has been in an impressive form lately, as such, he's expected to keep his place in the left-back position while Kyle Walker occupies the right.
Ilkay Gundogan is usually called 'Pep Guardiola's secret weapon'. When he's fully fit, he's expected to return to the starting XI. The German International would form a midfield triad with Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri.

In this set-up, Gundogan will play in central midfield while Rodri and De Bruyne occupy the defensive-midfield and attacking-midfield positions respectively.
For the attacking positions, Jack Grealish is expected to keep his place as a left-winger with Gabriel Jesus and Ferran Torres staying in the central and right-wing positions respectively.
