Why Man United and Man City's Next EPL Fixture May Be A Blessing In Disguise For Chelsea

The Premier League round 8 fixture kicked off yesterday as we saw exciting fixtures which were very fierce as teams were keen on securing all 3 points.

Some of the matches that we saw include the match between Watford and Liverpool. Where Watford was beaten by Liverpool today 5-0.

The goal scorers of the game were Mane, Firmino and Salah. All 3 players were excellent as they played very well. On the other hand, Aston Villa took on Wolves as the match saw Wolves win with a scoreline of 3-2.

At the King Power Stadium also, Leicester City won Manchester United 4-2, while at Etihad stadium, Manchester City won Burnley 2-0. One of the most interesting matches yesterday was the match between Chelsea and Brentford. The game ended in a 1-0 win for Chelsea.

Following the match results of the EPL matches yesterday, Chelsea is still top of the Premier League table with a total of 19 points.

Ahead of the Premier League round 9 fixture, Manchester United and Manchester City's matches may likely be a blessing in disguise to the Blues as both teams would be playing against the closest clubs to Chelsea on the Premier League table.

In the Premier League round 9 fixture, Manchester United who is currently 5th on the EPL table would play against Liverpool who is currently 2nd. On the other hand, Manchester City who is currently 3rd would take on Brighton who is currently 4th on the Premier League table.

At the end of the Premier League round 9 fixture next week, the top 5 teams except for Chelsea, would have played against each other, hence, at least 2 teams out of the top 5 teams would likely drop points. This would likely be a blessing to Chelsea as it would see their closest EPL title contenders drop points.
