Manchester United have joined Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa.
The Red Devils are currently attempting to sign Frenkie de Jong, but they are also on the lookout for young midfielders.
Chukwuemeka is one of them, and according to TalkSPORT, United are among a long list of clubs interested in signing him.
Last season, the 18-year-old made 12 Premier League appearances, the vast majority of which came off the bench.
Villa attempted to negotiate a new contract extension for the youngster beyond next summer, but he appears to have decided to leave.
The west Midlands club is seeking £20 million for his services, and it remains to be seen whether United will be able to secure him.
Chukwuemeka would prefer regular game time, which may not be possible under manager Erik ten Hag in the coming season.
On the contrary, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund appear to be more willing to give young players playing time in recent years.
