The Camp Nou side are keen on competing with the likes of Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid for more trophies this season and have added Memphis Depay, Yusuf Demir and Luuk de Jong to strengthen their squad.
However, that has not quite worked out as planned just yet, as Barcelona are currently sitting in 7th position on the La Liga table after taking up 15 points from their first eight league matches so far.
And due to their disappointing start to the season, Barcelona remain keen on adding more players to their squad when the transfer window opens.
The 24-year-old Belgium International, who joined Leicester City from Ligue 1 side Monaco in 2019 has been an important member of the squad since he made the move.
The young central midfielder had an impressive 2020/2021 season where he scored nine goals and provided six assists in 54 appearances in all competitions.
Youri Tielemans has also enjoyed a bright start to the 2021/2022 season and has scored two goals and created three assists in 13 appearances so far, helping Leicester City to 11th position on the Premier League table.
His excellent performances in midfield is said to have caught the attention of several clubs across Europe and according to reports from Daily Mail, Barcelona are also in the mix.
The reports further claimed that Barcelona are eyeing up a move to sign Youri Tielemans from Leicester City as they aim to improve their options in midfield.
That said, it remains to be seen if Youri Tielemans will continue to see out his career at Leicester City or consider a move to Barcelona when the transfer window opens next year.
