EVE vs TOT: Match Prediction, Preview & Kickoff Time

Everton will play Tottenham Hotspur in their next league match as both teams look for redemption after a difficult few weeks. Everton are in 11th place with 14 points, while Spurs are in 10th position with 15 points. The hosts are going through a particularly difficult period, and manager Rafa Benitez is already under fire after three consecutive defeats.

Everton have won only one of their previous seven games and are winless in their last four. The fact that Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Abdoulaye Doucure, and Yerry Mina are all injured adds to Benitez's burden. They've lost two straight at home and haven't kept a clean sheet in their past four games. They are, however, unbeaten in their past three meetings with Spurs.

Antonio Conte's first game in charge of Tottenham finished in a 3-2 win over Vitesse of the Netherlands in the Europa Conference League on Thursday. He still has defensive concerns to work out, and he'll take inspiration from Thursday's performance.

His team led 3-0 after 28 minutes, but Vitesse fought back to make the score 3-2 at half-time. They've also failed to score in three of their last five games, but given the calibre of players in the squad, the defence is the bigger concern. They've just kept one clean sheet in their last 13 games, and they've lost five of their last seven league games. Spurs have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their past seven league games.

SUMMARY:

In terms of recent form, there isn't much to distinguish these two teams, and they will appear to be evenly matched on paper. The favourites' tag, on the other hand, will benefit Spurs going into the game. They've had their ups and downs, but they've won two of their previous four league matches, compared to Everton's zero.

Spurs have a new manager as well, and it is expected that he will infuse new vitality into the team. This match will be won by Tottenham.

KICKOFF TIME: Everton versus Tottenham Hotspur match will go down today at 3PM Nigerian time.
