Tony Cascarino’s latest interview says a lot about Kylian Mbappe's current form. The former Olympique de Marseille player has made a revelation on Talksport radio, which will not please Paris Saint-Germain fans.
Irish international forward Tony Cascarino was very critical of Kylian Mbappe. Aren't some people going to say that these are just words from a former Marseille player, a rival of Paris-Germain? In any case, one thing is certain, the remark comes from a player who has a lot of experience.
The former Olympique Marseille striker, Tony Cascarino, believes Kylian Mbappe has regressed immensely in recent times. For him, the Frenchman is no longer the player he was three years ago. Tony Cascarino is of the opinion that despite impressive statistics in 2020-2021, Kylian Mbappe lacks consistency in his performances.
“There are times when you get a glimpse, a reminder, of how good he can be on the pitch. But he doesn't do it often enough. He is still a young 22-year-old player. He must return to a level close to where he was. He's not the player he was three years ago".
“If I look at the player, he was in 2018 when he won the World Cup, he was just electric and devastating. It felt as if he was probably going to win the title of the best player in the world, which he was then, without a doubt. I was disappointed with his performances at the Euro. It does not have the same impact on the game of the France team," said Tony Cascarino.
