Team Kwara, represented by Kwara Football Academy are through to the final of 2020 Rahmat Cup in Kano thanks to the heroics from the son of former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dele Aiyenugba during penalty shootout.
The Sky Blue dragons progressed from the group stage with 10 points from 4 games, edging Oyo State in the quarterfinal before seeing off Kogi State on penalties to make it to the final of the tournament.
Despite the chances created in regulation time, Kwara Football Academy needed the heroics of Daniel Aiyenugba to defeat their opponent 3-1 on Penalties.
Daniel, 15, saved three spot kicks out four in ensuring his team were victorious despite them missing their first spot kick giving advantage to the Boys representing the Confluence State.
Team Kwara will be facing Bauchi State in the final of the tournament on Friday, 21st of February by 4pm at the Sanni Abacha stadium.
Due to qualifying for the 2020 Rahmat International Cup final, Kwara Football Academy will present Nigeria at Dana 2020 Cup in Denmark and Norway.
Despite playing a game less, Kwara Football Academy are top of the Kwara Youth League with 15 points from 6 games.
