3 Reasons Why Reece James Should be Considered The Best Right-Back In The Premier League

The Young England international who is currently out because of an ankle injury he picked up in a match against Man City, should be considered the best right-back in the premier league. The 22-year-old has impressed since he had his first call up to the Chelsea first-team under Lampard and has maintained his form till now. Reece is known for his attacking mindedness as a defender which is rare in the football world today especially in England. Liverpool's Alexander Arnold was named the best right-back in the premier league last two seasons but the young England player lost his form. Also, Manchester United Wan-Bissaka is good defensively but very bad in the attacking position same as most premier league right-backs. But Reece James is very good with his wonderful crosses which have fetched him many assists and his goal-scoring mindset too.

Another reason being that James is also good not only on the attacking side but also in defense. Due to his physicality and strength, to complete a successful dribble against him has always been a very big problem for most attackers in the Premier League, for instance, he was able to make Raheem Sterling useless during the Champions League finals. The England international can fit in any formation the coach wants, he has played in the 3-5-3 and the 4-3-3 formation under Tuchel and Lampard. Meanwhile, James was a midfielder that was converted to a right-back defender, that's why he can handle any threat starting from the midfield.

Do you think Reece James should be named the best right-back in the premier league? If you think otherwise, You can chip in your opinion.
