Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho was on the scoresheet yesterday night as Leicester City picked maximum points away from home against Fulham.
The Foxes were looking to bounce back from a disgraceful home loss to Leeds United at the start of the week and did so with Iheanacho registering his first goal of the campaign.
Coach Brendan Rogers handed the Nigerian his third start of the season in the absence of Jamie Vardy, and he opened the scoring 17 minutes into the game.
Fellow compatriot Wilfred Ndidi was not in the squad as he is currently sidelined having picked up a knock some days ago.
After the game, Iheanacho who is very active on social media took to his Instagram page to offer an appreciation post to God Almighty on his first goal with the caption: OLUOMA- CHUKWU 💙 3 points 💪 which translate to "God's work"
Fellow teammate James Maddison (who gave the assist) & national team colleague Victor Osimhen were among those who reacted to his post.
Iheanacho will be hoping for more starts and goals as Leicester City battle with the bigger boys for the EPL title and a place in Europe next season.
