Alex Iwobi was given another start by Everton boss Rafael Benitez in their Premier League defeat to Aston Villa at the Villa Park on Saturday.
The Nigerian international struggled to impose himself in the game, and he was later substituted by the Coach.
Although it will be unfair to blame Iwobi for the defeat, but the time is right for him to start performing well at the highest level.

The Club invested £30m on him, and he hasn't justified the prize tag, despite spending over two-and-half years at the club.
The past two managers spent time trying to figure out his best position, but they failed to find solutions and ran out of ideas.
New Manager Rafael Benitez also took up the challenge, he deployed the 25-year-old in his desired number 10 position against Aston Villa on Saturday, but he struggled to perform.

Iwobi was tasked with providing a creative link between the midfielder three and the strikers, but unfortunately, for Benitez, the experiment failed woefully and Aston Villa took the charge of the game.
It was like Everton never play with a number 10, because Iwobi was always out of position and couldn't press the to win the ball back.
To play as a No.10, one must assume a sizeable portion of the team’s creative responsibility, and provide balance between the attack and the midfield.

In addition, The player must be skillful, intelligent and must have the ability to pick out his teammates from distance with long passes, but Iwobi clearly lacks all of this, so he can't play the role.
Iwobi's talent is not in doubt, but the number 10 experiment isn't working, and Benitez has to find another solution to his game.

For now, he's more comfortable playing from right wing and I think Benitez should be allow him to remain in that position, while he seek for solution.
