Barcelona have completed the signing of Manchester City’s all-time goals scorer Sergio Aguero on a two-year deal.
The Argentine joined the Spanish League giants on a free transfer barely two days after failing to win the UEFA Champions League in Portugal.
But despite signing him for free, the Catalans have included a €100 million buyout clause in his contract which expires in two years’ time.
And they will hope his arrival will help them return to their glory days failed to win the La Liga title since the 2018-19 campaign.
The last two league titles have gone to the Madrid clubs – Real won in 2019-20 season and Atletico are the reigning champions.
Meanwhile, football expert Fabrizio Romano on Twitter confirmed that the Camo Nou outfit will also complete the signings of Eric Garcia and Georginio Wijnaldum next week.
“Sergio Aguero joins Barcelona, contract signed until June 2023 as club statement confirms.
He said that the Garcia will signa deal until 2026 while the former Liverpool midfielder will represent the Catalans until 2024.
Meanwhile, it is left to be seen if Ronald Koeman will still be the manager when the season kicks off in a few weeks from now.
