Everton edged past Arsenal in what seems to be a thrilling game of football at the Emirate Stadium today. Arteta would definitely be disappointed with the performance of his players.
Arsenal started brightly against Everton but the team failed to convert all the chances they created in the opening stages of the game. You would have expected Arsenal to score at least two goals in the first half.
However, the team was punished in the second half after Leno's own goal. The German goalkeeper unfortunately put the ball in his own net in the 76th minute of the encounter.
Arsenal's loss against Everton means they are 7 points adrift of sixth place, Tottenham. Considering the next five games of Arsenal, you would agree with me that there is still a bit of hope for the North London side.
Check out Arsenal's next five games that could decide if they would finish at the Top Six this season:
Newcastle Vs Arsenal
Arsenal Vs Westbrom
Chelsea Vs Arsenal
Crystal Palace Vs Arsenal
Arsenal Vs Brighton
